With the month long Back 2 Basics event coming up in September, I thought I would get a jump start on something fun for Halloween. I have a corner in my kitchen where I usually keep a chalkboard frame, but I wanted to make something that would go there during the holidays.  I went to my workshop, and found the most perfect piece of beadboard--I knew exactly what I wanted to do. When Elmer's contacted me about doing a craft camp for kids, I couldn't wait, and I knew just who I wanted to invite. Some of my best girlfriends have the most darling group of girls aged 7-10, and these girls are always creating fun projects and crafts for the younger kids.  I love sending a little something for the teacher on the first day of school, and I'm excited to share with you some of my favorite ideas. {an apple for the teacher} Yummy caramel apples are always a huge hit! My kids love to decorate the apple for their teacher, and while they're not perfect, they're totally charming.   It doesn't have to be covered in caramel to be cute though--place a stick in an apple, and add your tag.  SO cute! Hi friends! It's been a while! Hope you all have enjoyed your summer... we just got home from vacation, which we enjoyed immensely. But it is definitely time to get back into a routine!When we last interacted we discussed aperture, shutter speed and ISO, the 3 components required to achieve a proper exposure. We learned how to shoot in aperture mode, and shutter mode. I don't know how many of you tried it, but I was mistaken in saying that your camera will set the ISO for you automatically.
