Hey friends! How was your Halloween? Did any great picture taking happen for you? I hope my ideas from a few weeks ago came in handy! I have to share one darling photo sent to me by Camille:
I love it! So, so cute. And shot in manual mode! Way to go Camille!!!
Now it's time to get that great Christmas card photo! It is possible, I can assure you... whether you are the one taking the photo, or a photographer is taking it for you, here are a few ideas that will help you get a unique shot, without breaking a sweat.
This first example was taken at an old abandoned barn, the perfect shade of red for this time of year! To bring a little Christmas cheer though, I hung a rustic green star on it.
I also love this pose. When all else fails (namely, smiles) get a giggle instead!
I like to alternate between a family photo and a photo of my kids every year. It's a lot easier to get a picture of your kids anyway... and that's all people really want to see right?
Here's a cute shot I got of some kids playing Ring Around the Rosie in their living room. With the Christmas tree peeking out in the corner, I think it says "Merry Christmas" in a subtle, endearing way.
And for something more whimsical, check this photo out.
Should you get a bad shot, why not have a little fun with it? Love this idea my friend Courtney came up with:
Just a few ideas to help you say "happy holidays" this year!!! Have fun and keep those questions and photos coming! I love to see how you all are progressing: photosbylei@yahoo.com !
