I hosted a book exchange party a few weeks ago, and it was SO SO fun. It’s been one of my favorite parties over the years, and I was excited to have new friends over and carry on the tradition here. I promise I will share all the details about the party soon, but today I’m sharing the adorable & easy DIY bookmarks I made for the party favors. SO easy, SO fast, and SO dang cute!
I just love them. And I’m not kidding when I tell you I made each one in less than a minute! Only a few supplies, a few minutes, and you can have adorable bookmarks for yourself or for gifts. Or both. :) How fun to give these to teachers, friends or neighbors that you visit, as thank you or hostess gifts, party favors, or to anyone you know that loves to read. You could personalize it for a teacher with their name, and the class year–how cute is that??!!
I monogrammed the bookmarks for each person in attendance at my party, and you could do the same, or stamp another cute saying, quote, arrow, or other graphic. Whatever you like!
-stamp and ink
I bought the tags at Michael’s, in the party and wrapping section, where all the matching party bags and bakers twine are. They were around $4.50 for a pack of 12. They are the perfect size, shape, and have the grommet that works really well for ribbon to slide through there and stay secure.
Tie the ribbon through the grommet and secure in a knot.
Use your stamp to add whatever embellishment you like! I just used a regular black ink pad, and it dried in a couple of minutes. I used a stamp by PSA Essentials that I adore. It has a Stamp Body, then you can add/change different Peel and Stick Stamps. I have the Vanilla Alphabet Set, and I seriously use it all the time. Love.
That’s it! SO adorable! The rough cost was around 40 cents a piece, but I already had the stamp and the ink.
I packaged them in cute brown gift sacks, stamped their initial on the front, and used washi tape to seal it.
They were so fun to give, and of course, I had to make one for myself. :)
