I started Brown Paper Packages in 2009, as a place to organize and keep track of all my projects--mostly for future reference.  I posted sporadically for a few months, then after one of my projects was featured on a couple of blogs, and I started getting REAL readers, things started to take off.

I have loved every minute of it--creating is my passion, and I'm so happy to share what I've done in my own home and family.  I love getting ideas from others, and I do believe that the best ideas are for sharing.

In September of 2012, I changed my blog name to Simply {Kierste}, after a trademark issue was discovered.

I have the best readers in the world, and I love what I do.
