Halloween Treat Jars

You guys!!! I am SO SO excited to introduce Silhouette's newest product...stamping material!    I am seriously in love with the fact that I can make my very own stamps using my Silhouette. I really think I've found my new favorite product! It took me just a few minutes to cut out over 10 Halloween and fall stamps to create these darling Halloween treat jars.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Striped growth chart

I have been wanting to make a growth chart FOREVER. Don't ask me why I haven't done it before now, but school is now in session, and fall is most definitely painting season! I love stripes, and I thought it would be a really fun way to divide the board into sections. I used our playroom colors, and I LOVE LOVE how it turned out!

School Command Center

We are a month and counting to the start of school, and I've been working on a back to school organization plan.  One of the things that can make me crazy is the amount of paperwork that comes home each day. Times that by three kids in school, plus two more starting preschool, it adds up to A LOT!  I really needed a place  for everything--with easy access for the kids. So...I designed and built a school command center, with a place for homework folders, school library books, notes, to-do lists, and notes of encouragement.  Thanks to Michael's---I was able to get all the major components I needed for the entire project.

Striped Canvas Art

My four littles share a bathroom, and until this week, and other than a shower curtain and hooks for towels, it has been completely bare. I made a super cute piece of striped canvas art to hang on the wall, and I LOVE it.  Since boys and girls are sharing the space, I went for a yellow, white, and turquoise color palette, along with a whale theme.  I am slightly obsessed with stripes right now, and I love they look on the canvas!

Burlap Flag Pillow

With Memorial Day the end of May, then Flag Day on June 14th, and the 4th of July,  flag & patriotic decor can be up for awhile, which I LOVE.  Independence Day has long been my favorite holiday (next to Christmas ☺), and I get so excited when I can start decorating.  I made this darling burlap flag pillow for my front entry bench, and it's perfect!
It's really easy to make, and I used the same method as my burlap flag bunting.  Just a couple of supplies, and you'll have your own super cute burlap flag pillow!

{DIY easy & adorable ruffled burp rags}

Yesterday I promised that I would post about the Silhouette project I was working on, and I'm excited to share it.  You all know that I'm about simple  details that can totally change the look of a project.  Well, today is a perfect example of that!  I purchased some plain white burp cloths, and wanted to "fancy them up" a little.  Using my Silhouette and sewing machine, and about an hour of time, I ended up with adorable ruffled burp rags!

Glitter Shamrock Sign {St. Patrick’s Day Decor}

With the current Silhouette promo going on right now, I was sent some double-sided adhesive to try. I haven't worked a lot with glitter, and I'd never used the double-side adhesive, so I was excited to use it. With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, and Valentine's Day decor coming down soon, I decided something with a shamrock would be fun.  :)

I've seen quite a few projects using the adhesive with paper, and other decor, such as candles, but since I love working with wood so much, I was curious to see how it would work.  I LOVE the end result!

{♥ is for…love blocks}

I just {love} Valentine's Day!  It's one of my favorite holidays to decorate for, and I can never resist making a few new things each year.

I made these cutey cute love blocks this week while I was home bound with all my sick kiddos and rainy weather, and I think they are now one of my favorite things!  You all know I love simple, and this definitely fit the bill. I wanted them a bit more substantial, and able to hold their own on a mantel, so I used 2x8 blocks--perfect!

Paper Sack & Clothespin Advent Calendar

I {LOVE} advent calendars.  I think they are the perfect way to count down to Christmas, and an additional way to really enjoy the holiday season.  We have several at our house, and we use them all!  Whether we use books, candy, or fun family Christmas activities, the result is a pure delight in enjoying the best parts of the holiday.

This Christmas I've added another one, and it uses some of my most favorite things---brown paper sacks, twine and clothespins!  It is ridiculously easy to make, totally inexpensive (less than $7), and SO SO darling!!!

Handprint Aprons {Mother’s Day}

This was first posted a couple of years ago, but I thought it was time to bring it out of the archives for this Mother's Day!  Anything with handprints is always a favorite for me.  :)

Sometimes it seems like the years past faster than the days do, and capturing little handprints are like freezing a moment in time. When my oldest was small, I made an apron with his handprint on it for my dad for Father's Day.  I still LOVE seeing his tiny little hand on that apron.  ♥ This year it was grandmas' turn... I love how these Handprint Aprons turned out!
