Footprint Stool

footprint stool |

I made this footprint stool four years ago, not too long into my blogging career.  To this day, it has remained one of my most popular posts, and I have to say, it's one of my favorites too.  I decided to update the post for a couple of reasons, but it was definitely time for better pictures.  ☺ It's amazing what you learn in four years!  I also wanted to share it with my newer readers, especially with Mother's Day coming up. I absolutely love this stool, and now that I've had another baby, I'm trying to figure out how to fit another footprint on there! I had a wooden stool that had been a staple in our house for years, but it was needing a little face lift. I thought of all the little … [Read more...]

Easy DIY Ruler Growth Chart {Perfect for SUPER SATURDAY}

DIY Ruler Growth Chart |

I'm in charge of the Super Saturday at our church this year, which is a big group of ladies getting together to make really fun crafts and projects. It's so fun for me, because it's two of my passions together---creating and talking.  ☺  One of the things I wanted to do this year was make a Ruler Growth Chart. LOVE them!! I've planned many of these, and when it comes to choosing projects for Super Saturday or any craft group, there are several things that I always consider: 1.  It can be totally completed in the time frame we have (what's worse than going home with unfinished projects that are just going to sit in your closet???) 2.  It's appropriate for all skill levels.  Not that … [Read more...]

I'm going to share our favorites list with you today! These are tried and true--we've played them a million times, with five of our kids plus others, and they are ones we love, and play again and again. The ones I'm highlighting are most appropriate for ages 4-8.  Four of our children are in this age range (2 four year olds and 2 seven year olds), so we play a lot of games that work for this range. Did you get gift cards this year … [Read more...]

{snowman soup}

snowman soup |

One of my favorite Christmas gift ideas is Snowman Soup! It's so darling, easy to put together, and perfect for neighbors, teachers, friends, co-workers, and more! What is snowman soup you ask?   Ingredients include a packet of hot chocolate, two mini candy canes, and a little bag of mini marshmallows!  I use a snack bag with the ziploc part cut off for the marshmallows, with a piece of bakers twine to tie it shut. You can package them for individual gifts, or larger for family or office gifts.  For this post I created individual snowman soup packages, using white cookie bags I bought at Michaels.  They are the perfect size for one serving!  I printed the tag on to cream cardstock (you … [Read more...]
