I'm totally thankful for pie. My ideal Thanksgiving is a small dinner then lots and lots of pie! To keep track of all those fabulous pies, I've made some fun "Thankful for Pie" printable tags. They're a super cute way to label all the different flavors or pie, and who made them!
My absolute favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is definitely the pie. I love so many different kinds, and always want to have a taste of every single one, so I thought it would be fun to make mini versions...little bites that let you sample and try more than one. Or two. Or possibly three. These No-Bake Mini Pumpkin Cream Pies are impossibly easy and adorable!
I've always wanted to have a set of dishes for each holiday, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Over the years I would see ones I liked, but the price never agreed with my budget. Finally last Christmas I made a set of polka dot Christmas plates that I adore, and this year I decided to go ahead and make a set for Thanksgiving. It was one of the easiest projects EVER, and turned out so darling-- I can't wait to use them!
Confession time. I don't love Thanksgiving dinner. Gasp! I mean, they're alright, the turkey and potatoes and stuffing, but what I'm waiting for comes afterward. That's right..the PIE!! In my opinion, it's the best part of Thanksgiving, and if I thought I could get away with eating only pie, I would.
I love a lot of different kinds of pie, and finding scrumptious new pie recipes goes to the top of my to-do list about this time of year. I gathered some of the yummies, most mouthwatering pies I could find, and wanted to share them with you too! Beware...you are going to want to make ALL of them!
You probably all know by now how much I love polka dots and stripes. I've used them in lots of my projects, with two of my favorites being Peppermint Striped Candlesticks and Striped & Polka Dot Pumpkins. I love them so much that I simply couldn't resist making a set in brown & white for Thanksgiving table centerpieces. They're easy, adorable, and really inexpensive--three of my favorite things!
We are huge popcorn fans at our house. HUGE. I won't tell you how many bags of popcorn kernels we have in our basement! It's the yummiest snack, and who can watch a movie without popcorn? With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, I was thinking of fun gift and party favor ideas, and I knew Paper Bag Popcorn would be perfect! Not only are they SUPER cost-effective, but they're totally adorable!
Hello there, fall!! It was a cool 59 degrees today, and I had my windows wide open, just soaking in all that lovely fall smell. It's going to get warmer this week again, but this little taste of fall definitely has me on the countdown. Fall brings on the beginning of the holidays, and most definitely my favorite time of year. It's full of friends, family, and giving!
There are always fun opportunities to give gifts during these fall and winter months, and I always love easy gift ideas, especially ones that will fit a budget. I've also discovered that a cute tag makes ALL the difference--add it to any gift, and it goes from drab to fab! I created a darling printable tag that's perfect for any fall gift!
With all of our things still in storage, I really
needed wanted to make a few fall decorations. Okay, so I would have made them anyway. :) Anything pumpkins, apples, or fall calls my name, so I decided to start there, and made these adorable farmstyle wood fall signs using pieces of scrap wood. I absolutely love how they turned out, and best of all, they're super easy to make!
Burlap Bags are not only totally adorable for gift-giving, but they work perfectly as place cards and tableware holders too!
I wanted something simple but elegant for our Thanksgiving table this year, and these Burlap Bags were just the thing! Not only can I use them as place cards, but as tableware holders as well! I love the practicality and easiness.
One of my husband's most favorite desserts is Apple Crisp. So, as the very good wife that I am, I spent years searching for the best recipe I could find, with the focus being on that yummy, crumbly topping, which is what I think the whole point of having Apple Crisp is. :) And you know what? I found it. Several years ago, I tried this recipe, and I've never gone back. It really is The Best Apple Crisp!

Nothing beat hot cider on a chilly day! Autumn Punch is a fall, winter, and holiday staple at our house. I love serving it to my own family, guests, at parties, and really anytime I get the chance!
I love Thanksgiving for so many reasons, and one of them is that it's such a great opportunity for me to help teach my children about gratitude. We try to work on it all year long, but I love having a month to focus on giving thanks and all the blessings we've been given. One thing that we've always done through the month of November is share the things that we're grateful for, and this year we're doing that with our Thanksgiving tree!

I've been curious about how to carve a foam pumpkin for awhile now, and do I was really excited when Michaels sent me some to try, along with a hot carving knife to carve them with. I love the thought of foam pumpkins, because while they will never replace our traditional real pumpkin carving each year as a family, they can be used from year to year as decoration inside and outside of our home.
I decided to try something very simple first, so I could get the hang of it, and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out.
