Fall Chalkboard Printable

I love chalkboard printables! Chalkboard goes with every color scheme, season, and holiday, making it extremely versatile.  And…it’s just plain adorable! I’m REALLY missing fall right now.  Since moving to Texas last year, it’s what I miss the most.  So,  I designed a really fun fall chalkboard printable with all of my favorite fall things, and it makes me happy every time I see it.  Even when it’s 100 degrees outside.  ☺

I have it on my mantel, and I LOVE it.  It would also be darling on an entry table or shelf, and so fun to add to your other fall decor.  You can put it in a frame, or I put mine on a clipboard and added ribbon, which I love.

I printed mine (8×10) at Walmart–ordered it online and picked it up an hour later, for $2.84! I prefer the matte finish–it looks more like chalkboard finish. You can also do an 11×14 print if you prefer.  It’s super easy, and SUPER cute!

Now if the temperature would just fall below 90…☺

  1. I love it! So classy and cute. Can you print a pdf file from a photo center? I think I’ve tried at Costco before and haven’t been able to get it to work.

  2. love it and it’s so cute in that cool frame .. did you make the frame yourself? we want to see diy steps for it, pretty please :-) thanks for sharing with us.

    1. Grace, I did make the frame! Here’s the tutorial I did for it a couple of years ago: https://oldsaltfarm.com/2011/11/faux-frames.html

  3. That is so cute! I love the way you’ve mounted it on the clip board too. Did you make that?

Thank you so much for sharing.

    1. Thank you Stacey, I did make that! I made them awhile ago, and here’s the tutorial for them: https://oldsaltfarm.com/2011/11/faux-frames.html

  4. Ok…I have admired many printables…but never downloaded one. Really not sure how that works. Would you mind walking me through that process? Thanks!!

    1. Sure! Just click on the download link for the jpg file, and it will open up larger and on its own page. Save it your computer. You can do this by either right clicking on the image and choosing save as. Make sure you save it to a place you’ll remember! I have a file just for printables, so I always know where to find it again. Now all you have to do is get it printed. I always upload it straight to Walmart or Walgreen’s photo center, so I can go and pick it up when it’s ready. Super easy. Or you can save the image to a CD, and take it in to get it printed at any photo place.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions!! xo

  5. Hi, Kierste! I just found your blog this morning. I love this printable and also the window behind it. Did you make that yourself? If so, did you blog it?

Thanks so much for sharing such great ideas!

    ~Linda :-)

    1. I did make the window behind it! I didn’t blog about it, but I can tell you how to do it–it was super easy! It’s just an old paned window–I taped off the wood and all the wooden pane divider pieces really well, then sprayed the windows with chalkboard spray paint. I did two coats, following the directions on the can (Rustoleum brand). Once it was completely dry, I rubbed chalk on the chalkboard, then erased it. That’s it!!!

So glad you stopped by–hope to see you again!!! xoxo

      1. That sounds so easy! I don’t have any old window handy, but I do have a picture frame that looks like a window, so I think I will try this idea on that. If it turns out okay, I will blog it and give credit back to your blog. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question.

        ~Linda

        1. It IS easy!! And I’ve made lots of frames into chalkboards, which is even easier than a window because you don’t have to tape it off. Just remove the glass, spray it with chalkboard paint, and put it back in the frame. I’d love to see what you do!! xoxo

  6. I love this print – I am loving chalkboard art right now. Is there any way to print it larger, like 16×20? I don’t have any 11×14 frames.

I am glad to have been directed to your blog from eighteen25 – I will definitely be following you!

    1. Hello! I’m so glad you found me!–I’m happy to have you! I did design it to be 11×14, so I can’t guarantee the resolution of a 16×20, but when I uploaded it into my cart (Walmart) to order my own print, it said that I could have done up to a 16×20–the low resolution warning didn’t come on until 18×24. So…I think it could it work! When you upload yours to order it, you can check and see if it tells you the same thing. You’ll have to let me know!!! xoxo

  7. Never mind. I just picked up my 8x10s from Walmart and they look fine. No idea what that was all about! Thanks anyway.

  8. This is new to me… downloaded to Walmart photo and will pick up in an hour. OMG, way cool and hope it is there when I pick up and I did everything right. Technology sometimes stumps me….hope this is not one of those times. Thanks!
