Free Back to School Printables

Okay, you guys, it’s MOVING week!! The movers are coming today, and we will be on our way to the lovely state of New York! We are all just so excited to get there, start exploring the area, and find out all about the kids’ new schools. The first day of school is always exciting at our house, and I created a set of darling free Back to School printables to add to that fun first of school picture.

I had all ages in mind with these printables–super cute for everyone, but not too “young” for older kids.  Simple.  Adorable.  LOVE them!!  What I like to do is print each one that I’m going to use (I did orange for my boys, and pink for my girls), then laminate them and file them away. Then each year I already have them, ready to go! Here are a few you can see up close and personal…

You don’t have to just use them on the first day of school–you could use them on the last day of school, or anytime in between! You could use these for name badges, place mats, stickers (print on full sheet white labels), a fun banner (with each of your kids’ grade strung on ribbon or twine), or even hang them on the door of your child’s room the night before school starts! So fun!

To download, just click on the links below.  Save the image to your computer, then insert into a Word file as a picture/photo. Re-size as necessary–to fill the page–then print!

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you! These are adorable. I have a preschool boy and kindergarten girl this year and downloaded all of them. What fun this will be! When you get a chance (and only when you get a chance), do you mind checking the link for the pink 4th grade? It brings up the pink 3rd grade.

Many thanks and good luck with your move.

    1. You are so welcome!!! And I’m sorry about that darn link–I’ll go in and fix it tonight. :) Have fun with your littles on the first day of school!! xo

    1. Oh, so sorry!! I’m not home now, but I will definitely fix that link tonight. Thanks for letting me know!!

  2. I think I missed some posts! Where are you moving in NY? It is truly a beautiful state! :) Aren’t you currently in LV, NV?

    1. We are moving upstate, and can’t wait!! We are ready to be out of the heat. :) it is beautiful there–so much to do and see!!

  3. These are just so great! I have been wanting something like this for my kids and their cousins to hold for back to school photos for their Nanny! Perfect! I am always sure to find exactly what I need on your blog! Thanks Kierste.

  4. LOVE the look! I have one going into 3rd as well as one beginning transitional kindergarten…do you by any chance have something for TK? I haven’t been able to locate anything… :-/

    1. I haven’t heard of Transitional Kindergarten before! I don’t mind making you one, but we’re on the road right now, and it wouldn’t be until next week. I hope your school doesn’t start before then!!!

      1. TK is something that was designed by Swarzenegger (sp) when he was governor of Ca. Kids used to have to be 5 by December 1st to enter kindergarten, he changed it to August or September so the youngest of the children starting would have another year to get ready for school. Instead of preschool and then kinder, it’s like 2 years of kinder. Not sure if they slow it down a bit to help the kids or what, but I’m anxious to see. :-) My boys start on 8/7, no biggie if you can’t. I can make one, I’m sure. Thanks!

  5. These are really cute! I’m pinning them…hopefully I can remember to print them out before the 1st day of school!:)

  6. Oh my word, I feel like I hit the mother load! I am in love with printables and yours are sooooo much better than anyone elses!! It is on my goal list to learn how to make them, but I STINK at photoshop, so I don’t know if I’ll reach that goal! Until then, I am sharing and loving yours!!

    1. Goldi, I’m so happy you love them!!! If you want to use a program right now, while you’re figuring out Photoshop (which definitely takes a lot of time), try PicMonkey.com. It’s free to use, and quite user-friendly. You can edit photos, or create printables, whatever you like! You can use their fonts, or the ones on your computer!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!!! xoxo

  7. THANK YOU FOR THE FREE PRINTABLE….
GREAT FOR NEW KIDS THE MOVE INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND GOING TO A NEW SCHOOL!

  8. These are adorable!! And just what I was looking for. But I’m not able to download. It led me to install something and then had to get an “extension”??? Then it created a new tab but I couldn’t figure out how to simply just download it. I tried again and it said that I had already successfully got an extension for PDFs but I have no clue. I think I’ll have to find something easier to download. Pre-school is in the morning (way to be so last minute yes I know).

Thanks anyway it’s soooo super cute!!!!

    1. That sounds like an issue with the browser on your computer. I’m sorry about that! I just checked it on my end, and it does work. I went ahead and emailed the file to you so have it for tomorrow! :) Happy first day of school!!
